DIGIVILLE

On Saturday 12th May 2007 Digiville teamed up with KompleX KapharnauM for their Streets of Brighton Post Show talk @ the University of Brighton

Streets of Brighton presented the UK premiere of a major, new international co-production by the highly acclaimed French company, KompleX KapharnauM.

KompleX KapharnauM will be performed their new work ‘PlayRec’ on 10th, 11th & 12th May 2007 at 8.30-10.30pm (approx) at the Trafalgar Street Arches

KompleX KapharnauM are a world class, leading edge, multi-media company who fuse recorded and live video editing with giant projections, graffiti paste ups, live music and song, spoken word, installations of intricate machinery, acrobatics in this ground breaking new show.

‘Play Rec(ord)’ focuses around the history of a symbolic location to explore the nature of reality as represented by the media and remembered by the people who lived and worked there.

Komplex Kapharnaum’s ‘archeologists of the 21st century’ will dig out stories, images and memories of the site of the New England development.  Formerly Brighton Station Car Park and a mecca for alternative culture Brighton with the Sunday Car Boot Sale and Harvest Forestry, the site was also once home to a Bubble Car factory and before this, a factory for the construction of steam locomotives.

Part live art, part street art, part multi-media performance, part installation; ‘PlayRec’ is a ground breaking new form of outdoor work.  Unmissable.

Digiville is our monthly event for digital and moving image artists. Each event incorporates a diverse cross-section of the digital arts community, from installation artists to animators and VJs, and involves an initial presentation of work, either by individual artists or artist groups, followed by a Q&A/discussion session. The artists invited to present their work or perform are a careful mix of well-known names and less established artists.

Watch this space for news of our next Digiville event or contact us to join our mailing list and receive regular updates.
