Invisible Fields, is a major international exhibition that was held at Arts Santa Monica in Barcelona Spain from 14 October 2011 - 4 March 2012, co-produced by Lighthouse. Complimenting the exhibition is a beautifully designed full-colour 102 page catalogue, featuring the work from the show, and specially commissioned essays by theorists, historians and commentators.

The Invisible Fields exhibition brought together over a dozen internationally known artists, designers and scientists to explore the radio spectrum – the invisible environment that underpins contemporary technology. The catalogue is published by Actar in three languages, English, Spanish and Catalan.

It features major new essays by Douglas Kahn (professor at University of New South Wales and author of acclaimed books such as Noise, Water, Meat: A History of Sound in the Arts and ), Adam Greenfield (founder of Urbanscale, former head of design direction for Nokia, and author of the influential book, Everyware), Martin Howse (programmer, writer, and performer specialising in spectrum ecology), Josep Perelló (physicist, University of Barcelona), as well as essays by the organisers and the co-curators José Luis de Vicente and Lighthouse, director Honor Harger.

The Invisible Fields exhibition includes significant works by Timo Arnall (BERG), Thomas Ashcraft, Matthew Biederman, Anthony DeVincenzi (MIT Media Lab), Diego Diaz and Clara Boj, Joyce Hinterding, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Trevor Paglen, Job Ramos, Semiconductor, Luthiers Drapaires, and Rasa Smite & Raitis Smits (RIXC) whose art work is beautifully reproduced within the catalogue.

The cost per catalogue is £16 with an extra £3 toward postage and packaging within the UK.
