OUTLINE TO DRAFT
This course will help writers to go from an outline of a short film idea to a first draft script. It will take place as two linked workshops. The workshop format will be as follows:

  • We will discuss the parameters of the workshopping process, including useful questions to ask of the scripts, and the format for giving and receiving feedback
  • You will workshop outlines for short films, gaining valuable feedback on your script from your fellow writers
  • You will then have two weeks to write the first draft of your short film, which you will email to other writers on the course. Each participant will be expected to provide feedback on the drafts to the other members of the group during the second workshop
  • You will then take part in the draft workshop, in which your first draft screenplays will receive feedback from the rest of the group and the tutor.

Watch this space for details of future course dates.
